Almost always a settings mismatch. Open Settings in the app and check, in this order:
Your school’s course catalog or your syllabus is the authority. If you are unsure, ask your counselor.
That is the point of the app. If homework is 10% of the grade, a perfect homework score can only move the course grade by a fraction of a point, while a test worth 40% moves it four times as much. Open a course and look at the weight bar under each category.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → GPA Planner → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Tap Restore at the top of the purchase screen. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy. If it still does not unlock, email us.
Your data lives on the device and is included in an encrypted iPhone backup. Restoring your new phone from that backup brings your courses with it. There is no cloud account, so a fresh install on a new phone with no backup starts empty. Your purchase always follows your Apple Account — use Restore.
Tapping the link only works if GPA Planner is installed. Otherwise, copy the long code at the bottom of their message and use Schools → Share & compare → Paste from clipboard. Pasting the whole message works too.
Yes. The app has no accounts and no server, and nothing you enter leaves your device unless you personally share a dream school list. Sharing your GPA is optional and off by default. See our Privacy Policy.
Schools → + → Custom lets you add any school with your own target GPA.
Settings → Erase all data, or delete the app. Both remove your data from the device permanently.
