Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

The short version: GPA Planner does not collect your data. There is no account, no login, and no server that stores your grades. Everything you type stays on your device. We cannot see your GPA, your classes, or your school list.

1. Who we are

GPA Planner is published by OnBaseIQ LLC. You can reach us at support@onbaseiq.com.

2. Information we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information. Specifically, GPA Planner does not collect:

The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracking framework of any kind.

3. Where your data lives

Everything you enter — your name, school, courses, assignment scores, grading scale, goal GPA and dream school list — is written to a single file in your app’s private storage on your own device. It is included in your device backup if you back up your iPhone, and it is governed by Apple’s backup encryption, not by us. Deleting the app deletes the data.

4. Sharing a dream school list

The Share & Compare feature does not upload anything. When you tap Share, the app encodes your school list into the link or code itself and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You choose who receives it. There is no server in the middle, and we never see it.

Your GPA is not included unless you switch it on. The “Also share my GPA” toggle is off by default. With it off, a shared list contains only your first name (or whatever name you entered), your grade level, and the schools on your list.

Anyone you send a link to can read it, and can forward it. Treat it like any other message: only send it to people you trust.

5. Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details. We receive no personally identifiable information from Apple — the app only asks Apple whether this device currently holds a valid entitlement. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Children and students under 18

GPA Planner is designed for high school students, and we expect many of our users to be minors. That is exactly why the app collects nothing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because we do not collect personal information at all. There is no account to create, no profile to publish, no messaging system, no user-generated content visible to strangers, and no advertising.

The name a student types is optional, stays on their device, and is only transmitted if the student personally chooses to share a dream school list with someone they know.

If you are a parent or guardian and have a question about this app, please write to support@onbaseiq.com.

7. Network access

The app connects to the network only to reach Apple’s App Store services for purchases and to restore previous purchases. It makes no other network requests. The college information shown in the app is bundled inside the app itself and is not fetched from any server.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. You have complete control: Settings → Erase all data removes everything from the device immediately, and deleting the app does the same.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
